We need P.E.
We need more P.E. We have P.E. in the Gym. We only have three P.E. classes during the week.
We have P.E. classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday and on Wednesday we have health. On Thursday we have study hall. Instead we should have P.E. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Our P.E. classes are forty-five minutes Long. We only have two hours and fifteen minutes. Of P.E. during the week. We should do more sports like football and basketball, but we do a lot of games like Tractor Tag, and Eagles Nest. We should do more sports like golf, tennis, and baseball. The times we get to do each sport are not equal, so we should plan so that the boys and girls get equal playing time. For basketball the girls got three weeks and the boys got three days. I think that we should have P.E. towards the beginning of the day instead of the end. Having it towards the beginning of the day will wake us up and let us get some energy out. In the end P.E. is one of the best subjects. I know the teacher works very hard to plan our P.E. classes.

School Starting Later?
Do you like waking up early everyday for school? I sure don't like having to wake up at 6:30 A.M. Then after you wake up you have to take a shower, and be exhausted. As soon as you get out of the shower, you have to go and drive to school. You have arrived at school and your already not enjoying your day. So now you have to sit through classes all day long and be tired until lunch comes around. Now for the rest of the day you are completely bored and can not wait until school is over and you can finally go home.My friend ¨N¨ is always tired during school and is falling asleep in Masters room. If I did not have to go to school so early I would really enjoy school. What I do not like though is that you have to this again the next day. My problem with all this is that I think we should go to school later. Such as 10:00 A.M. and leave at 5:00 P.M.Because you are not tired and you go to school ready to learn and you can enjoy the day.

School’s a Drag!
The weight in our backpacks is too heavy for our backs! The New York Times says sixth graders were carrying backpacks weighing eighteen point four pounds, although some backpacks weighed as much as thirty pounds. Those students had to carry eighteen to thirty pounds every day for seven hours except Sunday and Saturday. Now that is pretty heavy! I think this should change by teachers not assigning homework so the students don’t have to carry their school books home. Instead of having homework the teachers could have the students do the homework in the class. Or the classroom could do the homework assignment together as a class and bring home a worksheet that does not need a book to reduce the amount of weight the students have to carry home. The school could send a disc for every class instead of a book so the student could access the disc from their house and do the homework from their house so they do not have to bring the school book home. I think that would be a smart idea. This is why I think the weight us students carry should be changed.

Do You Like Our Academics?
I don’t think you would like our middle school academics. I don't think you would like them because one day I saw my math teacher and my principal talking in the hallway, and I came closer to be nosey, and I heard my principal say, “This first quarter fifty six kids were below grade level in math.” You may not think fifty six kids is not that much in middle school, but this is a private school so the amount of kids that come to this school is very little compared to a public school. The second reason is that the middle school teachers are now creating lower classes in math and english so the smart kids will stay with the current teacher and the other student’s will go with another teacher. My brother is two years older than me, so when he was in seventh grade I was in fifth grade. My brother told me, “Before your class came into middle school the teachers were not creating lower classes for the students.” So that's why I think you most likely would not like our middle school academics, because after reading this article I'm pretty sure you would not think of a high opinion.

The Teachers at School?!
I like almost all my teachers. One of them gives me the option to talk to him privately about sports and other things. There is another amazing teacher who picks fun things to do in their class. The next teacher does a lot of kahoots in their class and we read great books and they have fun with one of my good friends, Nick, and they don't care when I give them trouble when I talk bad about the Steelers. Another teacher doesn't teach everyday. The teacher only teaches on Tuesday and Friday. This teacher plays Fortnite and talks about it with us and says that they would destroy us in everything. That teacher is the funniest trash talker and we love that our teacher is like that. The final teacher doesn't like me and all the boys in my class. That teacher doesn't get mad at the girls even when the girls are doing the same things the guys are doing. But sometimes that teacher can be a really nice teacher to me. They like to listen when I talk about the Cubs to her. All in all, the teachers at my school are all pretty good teachers even though some may be better than the others in my opinion.

Thanksgiving Lunch!
Thanksgiving lunch is the best! Lunch is the best because you get more food than normal. You get roasted turkey, mash potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberries, stuffing, fruit, milk, and for dessert, pumpkin bar. Last year it was really good and the turkey was a very delicious. We always have cranberries. The cranberries look like purple mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes and gravy are the best because they are not hard but soft and smooth with no clumps. For fruit we usually get oranges. I think we get oranges because they do not take up one whole spot on the tray. The school sweet potatoes look like mashed potatoes too but orange. We get an option of strawberry, white, or chocolate milk. My favorite is the white because it is two percent. Two percent milk is the best. Usually we have lunch at 12:20p.m. but during this lunch we usually have lunch at 12:30 to 12:40p.m. Our families can go but they have to pay for a ticket. We usually eat in the cafeteria but for Thanksgiving lunch we eat in the gym because a lot of parents and children come. Last year there was a lot of people. Our gym was filled with tables and people! That is our Thanksgiving Lunch at Bethlehem Lutheran School.

The Middle School Life
Yeet! The middle school life is a whole new level of savagery, and a way different feeling than elementary. There is a different space that you have to be adjusted to. There is more people in that small area that you have to get used to. Switching classes makes the long seven hour school day go by quick and make it feel like four hours. There is way more amazing opportunities to join and be apart of a super fun thing. Having different periods is so much more scarier than staying in the same classroom the whole day, but when you get used to it, it’s a bit fun having more responsibility. One of the hardest things to do in middle school is getting used to the new lunch time. By 12:30pm everyone is starving because we are not used to learning for that long of a time on a empty stomach. Health is also a new extension added to the middle school life. Learning more about yourself and finding things out that you don't even know about yourself is a cool experience. There is a lot of changes in middle school from elementary, some good, some bad, but there all apart of the middle school life.

Homework
Difficult-Homework. Many people don’t like to do homework including me. Students that come to Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School do after school activities like sports and other activities after school and usually don’t get home till it is late around five to six post meridiem (or pm) and sometimes later. Most nights in middle school we have math, science, and english and social studies those are the order of how frequently we have homework in each subject every night.
Time-It should only take twenty minutes (or one thousand two hundred seconds) at least that’s what our math teacher says. For me though it does usually take only twenty to thirty minutes and every once in a while it will take me a much longer time than it usually takes me to do homework(forty minutes to an hour).
Home-work, free time. Would you rather do homework, watch tv, youtube or netflix, play video games, read books, play outside, or sleep? I asked 20%(10 students) of our middle school about the question above. Their answers in total came out that 6 students would rather play video games, 2 would rather sleep, 1 would rather read, and one would watch tv(netflix/youtube). As you see many of our students would rather do other stuff instead of doing homework. When you get home from school or work do you want to do work (homework) or have fun with your family or by yourself if you prefer being alone like me.
As you can see many people would like it if we had none to very little homework in a week like three worksheets or just less than we do now.

The middle school should get a longer recess, because if you spend all day inside you won’t get any exercise. Teachers should after forty-five minutes of learning let their students go outside to play for five to seven minutes and get their energy out and then come back and finish class. I think this would be good because ten minutes of recess is not enough to get your energy out.
Another reason why the Bethlehem Lutheran Middle School should get a longer recess is the students want more recess to, as Peyton Miller says “ We need it!” and Jack Redding says “ We need more exercise.” Work breaks would be great because students could learn and then go out for recess then go back into the school and learn. When you are in Sixth Grade if you have lunchroom duty you don’t get any recess at all so we should make recess longer so those people could get recess.

The Best Subject In School!?
Attention all Bobcats! Are you wondering what the best subject is at Bethlehem Lutheran School? Well I’ll tell you. It's obviously physical education. Mr. Bradley is a great teacher because he has fun with the class, even though the boys talk a lot. We have physical education on Monday, Tuesday for the boys and Thursday for the girls, and Friday. The reason physical education is the best subject is because you get to play sports, and sports are clearly amazing. One of the sports to play is basketball. There are a lot of good basketball players. Dodgeball is also a fun game to play, especially the way we play it with bowling pins. The most fun game is flag football, because we have a lot of good players that play. The best position is quarterback.
Even though I haven't said all the things we do they are mostly fun but some are really boring. Right now we are in soccer and it's the most boring thing we do. Kickball is fun when your kicking or in the field, but when you’re waiting for your turn to kick it gets boring. The main reasons that physical education is the best is you don't get homework and you get your energy out. Now knowing all this, you know that physical education is the best subject in school!
